Assalamualaikum and good morning (10.25 a.m) everyone!
It's the last week of December I guess, the time has gone by so fast throughout the year. I just can't imagine what it would be like next year, aiyaiyai. So ok.. I'm on my holidays for mid-sem break, that is until 5th January. Let's have a bit of a recap during the weekend.
On Saturday morning, mama had taken kakak to Hosp Kajang emergency department to get her blood checked up as she was positively diagnosed with dengue fever. We were all at home preparing ourselves to attend a wedding of papa's friend's son. Haaaa. So kakak had to be on drip because she was so dehydrated, and mama had to leave her there while we went to the wedding. The drip took 3 hours as she needed 3 bags of water. While we were at the wedding, kakak texted mama that she had to be warded because her platelets was very low and was still dehydrated. We rushed to the hosp to check on her, then the nurse pulled her on a wheelchair and brought her to the ward. That night, mama stayed at the hosp and took care of kakak while me, as usual being the successful housewife I've always been hehe.
The next morning, mama texted me to wake papa up to fetch her at the hosp because she wanted to rest at home and also cook lunch for kakak. After lunch, we headed to the hosp to visit kakak. She had her both arms with needles and tubes. I was so sad to see her in that kind of situation though. Luckily, her platelets level was increasing and getting better. She had her drip off and her appetite was improving. Doctor said if she continued being ok, she can be discharged tomorrow (yesterday). Later at night, mama and I went to pasar malam because kakak wanted to eat nasi lemak then we headed to the hosp to send the food. We accompanied her for a while and went home.
Yesterday, we visited her after lunch because the visiting hour on weekdays is at 12.30-2.00 and 4.30-7.00. The doctor said she can only be discharged after 2.00 p.m. Mama and I accompanied her to have lunch and we had to wait for the blood result because that determined whether or not she can go home. After waiting for more than an hour, mama wanted to go home and asked kakak to call her once the doctor said she can go home. I was so tired and exhausted, that I fell asleep just a few minutes after reaching home. That evening, kakak called and asked mama to fetch her. So mama and papa went to the hosp and took her home while I continued my sleep ha ha.
So that's pretty much how my weekends were spent upon coming home. Definitely not a good start for my holidays I guess, but I hope good things will come later. I hope that she will get better soon, because I miss talking and laughing with her. I plan to see my girlfriends during this holidays, if and only if they are free as well. In Sha Allah.
Till then, have a nice Tuesday and may Allah bless! xx
