Aidiladha

Assalamualaikum everyone!

Hope you guys are enjoying your Monday :)
So tomorrow we'll be celebrating Aidiladha or hari raya korban. To me, hari raya korban is much more meaningful than Aidilfitri. Its true that people decorate their houses and buy new stuffs for Aidilfitri, which they don't usually do that for Aidiladha. Besides, people would visit their relatives and friends during Aidilfitri and don't do that during Aidiladha.

However, to me Aidiladha brings a lot of meaning to muslims. It brings us back to the era of Nabi Muhammad PBUH and other prophets. It's like to commemorate their sacrifices to fulfill Allah's order. I mean, how tough they were to put everything aside, including families just to get Allah's blessings. They did completely anything to be the obedient servant of His.

If we look at our society now, do we really think we can follow their obedience towards the Almighty? Based on the story of Nabi Ibrahim, he got a dream that Allah has ordered him to slaughter his son, Nabi Ismail. Though his love towards his son was boundless, he fulfilled that order in fear of Allah's punishment. MashaAllah.. And that is why we celebrate Aidiladha, to remember his sacrifice.

This year, let us all appreciate the real meaning of hari raya korban and leave our ignorance behind and turn over a new leaf. It's not too late to change, so let's "korban" our lust and negative traits and build a positive ones. May the odds be ever in our favour.

Selamat hari raya Aidilfitri dan selamat berbuka kpd sesiapa yang berpuasa! Semoga sentiasa dlm lindungan Allah SWT xx
