Sharing some thoughts

Assalamualaikum!

I'm sure that each and every one of us has our own fav TV shows right? But are talkshows & reality shows about Islam are in the list too? I hope it's a yes. For me, I loooove watching those Islamic programme on Oasis & TV Alhijrah. Not to say I'm a saint or something, but I'd like to share something very very beneficial to those who are still in the dark abt this matter.

Last Sunday, I watched a show on Oasis titled 'Musykil Muslimah'. I'm starting to love this show after watching three consecutive episodes. The show is aired every Sunday at 0730 p.m. Imma make sure that I don't miss any of the episodes now that I'm loving the show. Ok so last Sunday, the topic was 'salam jaga air muka'. Haa I know some of us dah terror and jelas abt this thing, but some are still blur and clueless. Same goes with me, I still don't know how to refuse when an ajnabi put out his hand for me to salam. I'll be like "???? should I or should I not?" But eventually I'll salam them IF they are my uncles. Other than them, I'm so sorry. But after watching that episodes, I feel so sinful that it's  actually still haram to salam uncles or grandad or whoever yg bukan mahram kita. Sentap habis lah masa tu. Rasa mcm "ya Allah...berdosanya aku" tp yelah, kita tak tahu kan. We love and respect them just like our own father. But no it's actually still prohibited. Regardless of who you think they are to you. If he's not blood related to you, then it's haram.

Anyways, salam jaga air muka ni jd harus bila kita bersalam dgn bukan mahram tp berlapik. But but, it can't be for long. Just for a few seconds, just for the sake of salam je. Haa gitu. See the difference kan? Ada one girl ni tnya satu soalan, and the question was kinda funny. But I know I was being mean. For me, I know the answer is obviously haram but maybe she's just confused kan. So she asked "boleh ke kita salam someone yg kita dah anggap abang or kakak sndiri?" Haaa for us we know mmg tak boleh kan. But maybe she just wanted a clear explanation abt it. So the ustaz said "hukumnya ttp haram walaupun kita dah anggap mcm adik beradik sndiri. Khinzir klau kita warnakan dia takkan mnjadi halal. Dia ttp juga khinzir".

Even though kita salam someone to just to show respect je, not more than that, pun tak boleh juga. According to that ustaz, ada bnyk cara lain untuk kita tnjukkan rasa hormat pada seseorang & to salam them is NOT one of the ways. Lg lah rase sentap. Haha. Instead, we can give salam to them and smile. That's enough. Right now, in this modern world, nak shake hands ni mcm satu kemestian bila jumpa org kan. Yup,  that's the perception yg kita kena tukar. Nak tukar perception itulah cabaran yg sebenar benarnya.  Bcs people are so used to shake hands nowadays. In Sha Allah if our intention is good, Allah will give ways to us. Amiiiin

Haa last but not least, episode salam jaga air muka ni episode 4 if I'm not mistaken. Cuba cari dkt YouTube ok? Totally worth watching. Hehe
